Recognizing the necessity for immediate and impactful action, a group of environmentally-conscious leaders galvanized a team of accomplished executives from around the world, united by their dedication to finding solutions to the climate crisis. Executive Team

Gaetano Cardone
President
Gaetano, an Oxford alumnus with a degree in Mechanical Engineering and a specialization in Aerospace, is a partner and serves as COO/CFO at one of Canada’s largest privately held out-of-home media companies. He co-founded Canada’s largest digital signage firm focused on universities and colleges, successfully exiting in 2014. With over 20 years of expertise in operations, financing, and a fascination with emerging tech commercialization, Gaetano’s visionary leadership has been instrumental in UB Media’s portfolio growth to nearly 10,000 media faces nationwide.

Paul Lovse
VP of Project Finance
Paul is an Oxford academic who combines expertise in Power Engineering, Sustainable Energy, and Financial Strategy to pioneer innovative financial tools for sustainable energy projects. With over a decade of experience in mega projects, including deploying billion-dollar FLNG assets off West Africa as Golar LNG’s site engineering manager, Paul has gained vital insight across the energy value chain. This professional background, supplemented by postgraduate expertise in Entrepreneurship & Innovation, unlocks a fresh perspective on the energy dilemma. Paul is uniquely positioned to scale transformative green energy initiatives, bringing a comprehensive understanding to the evolving global energy landscape.

Salah Morsili
VP of Ops & Engineering
Salah, a Nuclear & Energy Engineer graduate and formal COO of the new Project Co (4000 MW), was responsible for designing, building, and operating two CCGT plants with CCUS. He also presently serves as the Engineering Managing Director at EDF Energy. Salah’s most recent achievement includes signing an approx 4B PPA in the Middle East for a CCUS-capable energy plant. With over 20 years of experience in operations and engineering, his visionary leadership has driven EDF’s international growth strategy, encompassing business development across a diverse portfolio, including nuclear, gas plants, hydrogen, and carbon capture & storage. Previously, he worked on designing and delivering complex infrastructure projects globally. Salah is also an Associate Professor in AI Strategy and Energy Policy at INSEAD and Paris School of Economics.

Graeme Begg, CFA
Graeme, a 25-year capital markets professional with investment banking, M&A, and debt financing experience. Most recently, Graeme was the Global Head of Private debt at a leading North American investment dealer where he was responsible for all corporate private placements and infrastructure & project finance transactions. Over this time, Graeme lead more than C$40 billion of debt financings. Graeme is a CFA® charterholder and a Bachelor of Commerce graduate from the University of Victoria.

Jamie Aitkenhead
Jamie, an energy transition senior executive, has worked in energy for almost 20 years in roles spanning corporate strategy, M&A, competitor intelligence, policy and regulations, capital markets. He has spent most time over that period working in power and utilities and highly networked across the UK, Europe and North America. Jamie has led strategy workstreams for trading businesses including monetization of carbon certificates & has advised c–suite and portfolio managers in allocating capital into clean power procurement and carbon offsetting.

Wangari Muchiri
Wangari Muchiri, Director of Africa at the Global Wind Energy Council, is a visionary Renewable Energy Engineer leading initiatives to advance wind power across Africa. Honored as a top influencer in climate leadership, she has received awards from Insider magazine, Obama Foundation, Greenpeace, and GWEC. Wangari holds engineering degrees from University of New South Wales and University of Technology, Sydney and is pursuing an Executive MBA at Oxford. She sits on various boards including Kenya Green Building Society, ESI Africa Clarion Energy Advisory, and Buildings and Cities Journal Practitioners.

Isabel Gora
Isabel Gora, Director Transformation & Business Excellence of Rolls–Royce, possesses a comprehensive background in strategy, organizational change and sustainable business development across various sectors. Her global experience spans leadership roles at Mercedes–Benz, and Deloitte. With her background rooted in Zimbabwe, Isabel is interested in emerging markets, particularly focusing on business prospects in Africa.

Evgenia Starkova
With over 20 years as a distinguished marketing and communication executive across various industries, Evgenia has showcased unmatched expertise in crafting and implementing robust strategies for educational and healthcare institutions, as well as fintech and biotech companies. Her professional interest lies with reputation and brand management, and she has a personal passion for sustainability. Evgenia currently serves as Head of Marketing and Sustainability at SkyTeam.

Domagoj Jelenc
Domagoj Jelenc, COO & CRO at Badel 1862, the largest spirits company in Croatia. He is mainly responsible for the supply chain, restructuring and strategic projects in the business. He his financial background was gained through his experience in the Big 4, where he delivered Strategy and Capital markets to largest FMCG company and was a Board member of the largest retailer in the Adria region. Domajoj has held a Board position in Badel 1862 since 2018.
